This classic car will soon be fully electric

Sometimes the smallest projects are also worth mentioning. Kapp recently supplied a soldered heat exchanger (Kelvion GBS100) which will be used in a beautiful classic car. Our client is converting an old Volvo Amazon Combi (built in the 60s) into a fully electrically powered car.

The heating of the Volvo batteries, essential for optimum efficiency, will be done at the charging station with a liquid heater at 220V on the one hand, but in this special project the aim is to use all available energy. The heat exchanger therefore brings the batteries to the correct temperature by means of residual heat from the controller and engine, a nice and durable addition.
